Hi, Scott:Did you try to manually install the drivers by browing to the installation folders that were created by those driver files?If not give that a try by clicking on the multimedia audio controller in the device manager. Click on the driver tab.

Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for software method and browse to the installation folders from those driver files.They will be located in C:SWSetupspxxxxx where xxxxx is the file number.Also as a last ditch effort you can try the auto update method from that update driver button and make sure you are connected to the internet and see if Windows Update pulls down a driver.Other than that, I have no ideas to share with you.Paul.

Download the xp driver from HP. Then right click on it, properties, run as administrator, then run in compatibility mode for xp2. Should work fine after that.likehesaidNot very good advise at all.
